CC2650 LaunchXL board with external battery source

Hello

Haven't found a complete explanation to this issue.

I want to power the CC2650 LaunchXL board with an external battery, so it could work independently without having it connected to my computer.

How do I do it?

Do I simply need to connect ~3.3V battery to the 3.3V pin in J1 column and to the GND pin in J2/J3 on the board?

Hi Amit,

Yes, that is one way. You can refer to the Fuel BoosterPack (boostxl-battpack) to see the connections.
Or, refer to the "Advanced use of the LaunchPad hardware" section of the LAUNCHXL-CC2650 online user guide: dev.ti.com/launchxl-cc2650

Take note of the instructions to remove the required jumpers so that you don't power the onboard XDS110 block when running on batt power.

Finally got to that.

So I've tried to do it (picture attached) but apparently the device was not powered. What am I missing?

have you programmed your device to do certain things(ex : advertising, toggling LEDs)?
Did you checkout by using multimeter that if the other 3V3 pins also returns 3.3V?
