BLE Device Monitoring v2.20 is not working with CC2650LP

Hello Team,

I am working for a customer with BLE example spp_ble_server. Customer has two CC2650LP so They have programmed application in One LaunchPAD and other one They wish to use with BLE device monitor / B-Tool. For using this with BLE device monitor, I have programmed below code in CC2650LP from ../Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\BLE Device Monitor\firmware\cc26xx\launchpad folder:

1. CC2650LaunchPad_BLE_All_v1_00.hex

2. CC2650LaunchPad_BLE_App_v1_00.hex

Now I have connected it with BLE device monitor and assign launchPAD application COM port with 115200 Baud rate + Flow control NONE. I am getting error No response from BLE Host at COM6. I could use CC2540 USB with Host test program on the same BLE device monitor but problem with this configuration that I can't send more than 18-19 bytes while I wish to send 40 bytes. As per me with CC2640 (BLE 4.2 support) it is possible. Please advise if I am right here.. and help me in connecting CC2650LP with BLE device monitor.

Try install BLE Stack v2.2 and download cc2650lp_host_test_rel.hex in C:\ti\simplelink\ble_sdk_2_02_00_31\examples\hex to your CC2650LP to test again.

I have tried it but still it is not scanning any BLE device..

Does BTool or BLE device monitor can connect to your CC2650LP running HostTest example?

It is showing connected... Please find below event logs of BLE device Monitor:
13:06:14.775 > HCI log disabled
13:06:14.915 > Host: COM6 115200 baud no flowc.
13:06:14.995 > HCI_Ext_Build_Revision: status=00 Rev=33095
13:06:14.995 > BLE Host TI BLE 2.2 CC2640
13:06:15.005 > HCI_Ext_Reset_System: status=00

What BLE devices do you try to scan?

Hello YK,
I have programmed another CC2650 LaunchPAD with BLE example spp_ble_server. I am able to scan it through Mobile APP and BLE device monitor with CC2540USB. But with BLE Device Monitor + CC2650LP programmed with cc2650lp_host_test_rel.hex ,after this Log nothing happens. SCAN button is disabled continuously (I have waited for a minute) and then I have closed BLE Device monitor.

Now if I am again opening BLE Device Monitor, it is displaying No Response from BLE Host.

Hello YK,
With B Tool it is working but in BLE device monitor is not working.

I have no idea why your BLE device monitor doesn't work. Since Btool works fine, I suggest you to use Btool for testing.
