createTask Issue.. Task not created CC2640

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650, CC2640

Hello Support Team,

We have designed our board based on CC2650 sensortag reference design. We are facing issue with createTask; Task is not created and program loops in the function

ICallPlatform_pwrIsStableXOSCHF

We are using following two test-cases to identify the issue:

test-case #A. test with working sensortag CC2650 &

test-case #B. test with our board (non-working) using CC2640 based on sensortag circuit.

STEPs performed to test two test-cases above:

#1. Glow the LED1-2 when program starts in main() after PIN_init(BoardGpioInitTable);

#2. Turn off the LED1-2 in function SensorTag_createTask(void) before Task_construct(.. )

#3. Turn on the LED1-2 inside SensorTag_init(..) which is called from SensorTag_taskFxn(..)

We observed that for test-case#B SensorTag_init is not called; here Task is not created and program loops in the function ICallPlatform_pwrIsStableXOSCHF.

Then we compared DDI_0_OSC : STAT0~2 registers for working sensortag & our non-working new board. Please find attached screenshots DDI_0_OSC-StatusCompare.rar; it contains the screenshot of DDI_0_OSC : STAT0~2 registers for both working case (debug1-stat012-working - folder) & non-working case (debug2-stat012-not-working - folder).

Observations:

#1. We checked DDI_0_OSC:STAT1

test-case #A: DDI_0_OSC:STAT1 gives ==>  RAMPSTATE = HPM_UPDATE

test-case #B: DDI_0_OSC:STAT1 gives ==>  RAMPSTATE = HPM_RAMP1

#2. We checked DDI_0_OSC:STAT2

test-case #A: working case : we get XOSC_HF_AMPGOOD, XOSC_HF_FREQGOOD, XOSC_HF_RF_FREQGOOD = 1

test-case #B: non-working case: we get XOSC_HF_AMPGOOD, XOSC_HF_FREQGOOD, XOSC_HF_RF_FREQGOOD = 0

Does this indicates our crystal (24 MHz) XOSC connection is bad? OSC:STAT1 RAMSTATE is not changing in case of test-case #B.

Thanks and Regards,
