Hi. I’m a new user and I’m using the CC2650MODA module. I read before about the CAD file of this module and it said is not added to the datasheet yet. So I wanna know if it is available. Also how can I program (software and hardware) this module without using a Launchpad or BoosterPack.

Hi Cesar,

There are layout guidelines in the CC2650MODA datasheet those should help you to get started. There is also a typical application circuit diagram you can use as a guide.

The JTAG pins are listed in the Module Pin Diagram in the datasheet. What kind of debugger are you planning to use?

Hi Rachel,

What kind of debugger do you recommend?

How can I program this BLE (CC2650MODA) directly? (which extra hardware do I need, softwate)

You can buy CC2650 LaunchPad to act as Programmer.

Hi Cesar,

I think the most affordable option would be to use an MSP432 Launchpad which comes with an XDS110 debugger. You can connect the XDS110 Out on the MSP432 Launchpad to the JTAG pins of your device and program it through CCS or with SmartRF Flash Programmer 2.
