Service Change Characteristic not seen in the GATT Service

I am trying to add Service Change characteristics (0x2a05) on CC2650 . I can view the GATT service (0x1801) on Lightblue but I am not able to see the Characteristics in that service , What change needs to be done in order to add that add that characteristics in the service.

In addition, you will need to add:
-DBLE_V41_FEATURES=L2CAP_COC_CFG

in your build_config.opt file to enable the Service Change characteristic.

Hi JXS,

I guess this change is for IAR if I am not wrong . I am currently using CCS for my development. What needs to be done there

You should be able to find the build_config.opt file in the Stack Project, under the tools folder

Got it , Thanks , I was trying to look into the build directory . So I should add this into build file . What else I need to do to enable the service change in the simpleBLEPeripheral project

I removed -DGATT_NO_SERVICE_CHANGED from the buildConfig.opt file and added -DBLE_V41_FEATURES=L2CAP_COC_CFG+V41_CTRL_CFG .
I recompiled the stack project . It gives me the error

undefined first referenced
symbol in file
--------- ----------------
GATTServApp_SendServiceChangedInd <whole-program>

error #10234-D: unresolved symbols remain

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi,

Using BLE-Stack v2.2.1 (latest at post time), I'm able to successfully build the Simple_Peripheral stack project (cc2650em) with the following build_config.opt:
/* BLE v4.1 Features */
-DBLE_V41_FEATURES=L2CAP_COC_CFG+V41_CTRL_CFG

Build env: CCS v6.2.0, TI Compiler v5.2.6
Can you try on your end?

I was able to build it with the above stack mentioned , Currently I am using V2_01_00_44423 and not being able to compile, Is there a way I could fix it in my stack version ?

I was able to build and confirm the presence of the Service Change Characteristic using BLE-Stack v2.1.0. I do recommend you use BLE 2.2.1 as this is the latest build and has other updates.

You do need to follow the Boundary reset procedure as described in the SW Dev Guide (SWRU393) included with the SDK (not required for BLE 2.2+). For my build, Boundary is selecting the following:

--define=ICALL_STACK0_ADDR=0x0000D000

--define=ICALL_RAM0_ADDR=0x200043A4

I do use the following buildConfig.opt settings changed from Default:

/* Host Build Options */

-DL2CAP_CO_CHANNELS

/* -DGATT_NO_SERVICE_CHANGED */

Hi Rebel,

The build_config.opt file is only in the stack of 'iAR' folder, not 'CCS' folder.
I hope that next SDK release cleared this to avoid any confusing.

Hi JXS,

I tried the same on a sample SimpleBLEPeripheral project (STACK : CC26xx_2_01_01_44627) and it worked. When I am trying to do it in my project which is (STACK: CC26xx_2_02_00_44423) the system doesn't seems to boot up at all .Any ideas why would that happen ?
