Hi,
This is an additional post to below;
https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/bluetooth_cc256x/f/660/p/551815/2017436#2017436
My customer is trying to maximize the throughput in their SPP demo based software.
They now understood meanings of each parameters(MaximumFrameSize, TransmitBufferSize and ReceiveBufferSize).
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_MSP430_TI%27s_Bluetooth_Stack_Basic_SPPDemo_APP_Improving_throughput_v14
They still have some questions.
1) In the Wiki, buffer sizes 58, 348, 329, 987, 2303 are tested. What is a reason these sizes are selected ?
Usually 64, 128, 256 or 10, 100, 1000, etc. are used for buffer size.
2) What is the reason throughputs “from sample application to MSP430” are slower than “from MSP430 to sample application” ?
3) What is the main reason the throughput are much slower than baudrates ?
Thanks and regards,
KoT
Any updates to this item ?
And customer has another question.
Q4) When MaximumFrameSize is changed, how much MSP430 memory usage will be increased ?
For example, if MaximumFrameSize=100Bytes, 100Bytes each for TX and RX will be used (total 200Bytes)?
Or buffer is shared between TX and RX, so only 100Bytes will be used?
Thanks and regards,
KoT
