CC2564MODACMOG: Typical data rate

Good afternoon

We are working on a project where we would like to transfer files (i.e. images, movies) from an SD card to an host device (i.e. Android phone / iPhone). For easy integration, we would like to use the CC2564MODACMOG Bluetooth module connected to our host MCU (STM32F207) via UART.

- What maximum data rate can we expect?

- We would like to use the FTP profile. Is there any firmware available for that?

- Is the Bluetooth stack supposed to run on the host MCU for the mentioned module?

    Hello NB,

    The maximum data rate is according to the Spec.
    In theory you can reach up to ~2.1Mbps. it depends on the spectrum being clear. one way transmission mainly, etc...

    The firmware is the same for all different Bluetooth profiles - there is no difference from a firmware point of view.

    Yes the Bluetooth stack runs on the host MCU.
