CC2640 ADC Current Consumption

Hello,

according to the datasheet the CC2640 has a current consumption between 0.66mA and 0.75mA. My question is, if there exists other ways to configure the ADC to reduce the current consumption even further?

Any tips would be helpful.

Hi,

If the ADC stays active at all time, then that's average current consumption you should expect. However, if your application only needs to sample once per second, then the average current won't be that high.

Can you specify what application you are going to do with ADC?

I'm going to measure the battery voltage. So you're saying that increasing the measurement interval is the only way to decrease current consumption?

Yes, since the ADC module will consume that amount of current when it's active. To lower the average current consumption, you will just have to tweak your application.
