BLE Antenna on 0.8mm PCB

Hello,

I am choosing an antenna for my BLE application, the PCB thickness will be 0.8 mm, 4 layers.

The antenna presented on AN043 looks interesting but I am not sure if the layout is the correct for my PCB (0.8 mm).

Can someone validate if the layout for 0.8 mm?

Hi Francisco,

The PCB thickness will have negligible impact on the antenna impedance. You will most likely have to tune the antenna anyway though, due to differences in ground plane shape and size from our reference board. You should add a pi-filter close to the antenna feed for tuning.
