CCS/CC2650: CC2650 doesn't respond

If you have previously programmed the CC2650STK device CCFG region to disable flash access via JTAG (DAP) then you will no longer be able to reprogram the device. You mention that you have a "new Devpack debugger" - were you previously programming the device with another debugger?

What version is this sensortag? Depending on which version, you may also need to have a battery attached while programming/flashing.

Nope. I tried to do an over-the-air update of the firmware many months ago & the unit stop responded (to attempts to reconnect to my smartphone). The devpacks were out of stock when that happened. Recently noticed that the devpacks were availabled, ordered one and I'm just now trying to use it to revive the Sensortag. I've never used another debugger nor have I ever attempted to touch the CCFG region.

As to version type, it's the Sensortag 2 (if you more info, I'll can check the box it came in when I get home). I have a fresh battery installed but, that didn't help. My smartphone sees the Sensortag as a bluetooth device but, I can't connect to it (with or without the devpack). The app on the smartphone just spins, if I try.

Any suggestions, guys? Should I be asking for a replacement?

And programming with CCS results in the same error right? Try flashing BIM + the sensortag app + stack just to make sure.

Other than that, asking for a replacement is probably your best bet.

Using CCS, I get the following error msg: "IcePick_C: Error connecting to the target: (Error -241 @ 0x0) A router subpath could not be accessed. A security error has probably occurred. Make sure your device is unlocked. (Emulation package 6.0.504.1)".
I also tried using the mobile app. It connects and seems to go thru the process of "download"-ing the firmware images but, never successfully completes.


So, should I be asking TI for a replacement?

I suggest you to ask for replacement from www.ti.com/.../faq-returns-and-refunds.page
