CCS/CC2650: Using Current Value

Part Number: CC2650

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I am using the CC2650 LaunchPad to actuate a motor. Is there a way to use the current output to the motor as a variable in order to start or stop the motor?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Smeet

  • Hi Marvin,

Firstly, if you're trying to control a motor, I'd definitely recommend you take a look at our C2000 MCUs. They have some neat stuff for motor control.

Back to the question though: You could use a shunt resistor to measure current, with a op amp to amplify the difference and send it into the CC2650's ADC. I'm sure you can search online for more methods to measure current.
