Hi Team,

Customer has asked for a very height restricted application following:

Do we offer bare die solution of CC2640(r2)
Can the CC2640 run BLE without 24Mhz crystal, so running on internal HF RC oscillator

Hi Patrick,

We have just released the CC2640R2F in WCSP package. This measures 2.7 x 2.7 mm. Details can be found in the CC2640R2F datasheet.

It is not possible to run the radio without 24 MHz crystal.

Hi Patrick,

EDIT: Fredrik got to this first! The one thing I'll add is that it's possible to run without the 32K xtal, but only for specific BLE applications.

1) We offer a 2.7mm by 2.7mm WCSP -

2) A 24MHz crystal is required for the radio - the internal HF RC oscillator is really just for the CPU

Hi Fredrik, Thanks! Yes that is really small.
Reason for asking bare die is because customer has a height restriction of 400um .
