Changing slave cc2540 usb dongle's values.

Part Number: CC2540DK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540

Hello

I want to communicate with 2 PC connected with each cc2540 usb dongle.

The first cc2540 usb dongle(I will call it dongle-a) is rolled as a master connected with PC1.

The second cc2540 usb dongle(I will call it dongle-b) is rolled as a slave connected with PC2

I already got success in the communication between dongle-a with B-tool and hci command in PC1 and dongle-b.

For example, if I send read command with dongle-a by b-tool in PC1, donle-a sends the command and gets some data in dongle-b as a response.

But I want to change some value of dongle-b by using PC2.

For example, if PC2 send a command or do something to change the “Device Name“ value(TI BLE All  in the picture below) into ”My BLE Device“, the value of it is changed and then later I want to read new value(”My BLE Device“) in dongle-b using dongle-a with PC1.

I spent some time to try to search similar project or question in wiki and this forum, but unfortunately I couldn’t get hint for "usb dongle"

How can I do this?

1. What is the easiest way to do it for beginner?

I am a begginer for cc2540 and also not good at firmware things.

2. Is there any HCI command to change value of dongle-b from PC2?

If so, what is it?

3. Do I have to know USB protocol to communicate between dongle2 and PC2?

Please help me. Thank you.

Here are my settings.

[ Master cc2540 usb dongle (dongle-a) ]

CC2540_USBdongle_HostTestRelease_All.hex is downloaded.

[ Slave cc2540 usb dongle (dongle-b) ]

HostTestRelease project file is downloaded.

It already set this to roll as a slave.
