Compiler/CC2541: USing one USART as UART and SPI

after looking this thread I realized that we can use USART0 and USART1 as UART mode and SPI mode respectively at a same time.

My question is can we use the USART0 as UART and as well as SPI mode at a same time by changing the PERCFG.U0CFG bit as alternative1 and  alternative2 in our code?
