Starterware/CC2540: What is the Empty PDU?

Hello.

I do test to CC2540 Central and Peripheral connection.

1: 1 connection is in progress.

However, after connection, they exchange each other Empty PDU every second.

What does the empty PDU mean?

In the central source, #define DEFAULT_ENABLE_UPDATE_REQUEST FALSE. (Source is SimpleBLECentral & SimpleBLEPeripheral)

Do they originally exchange data at 1 second intervals?

Help me, Please.... T^T

Hello Doyun,
This is known as a connection event which will occur at every connection interval. If the slave device has no slave latency (0) it will reply with an ack to every connection event packet sent from the master. If the master does receive any ACK within the set supervision timeout it will exit the connection. Pleas read more details of connection events in the Adopted Bluetooth Core Specification found here:

As you seem to be unfamiliar with the basic concepts I recommend you to google some tutorials or perhaps check out a book or two about Bluetooth low energy. Here is one example:

I just started using Bluetooth and it's hard.
