Yes, the TI dual-mode Bluetooth stack supports L2CAP Fragmentation and Recombination for sending data to lower layers (HCI).

Is there a way to enable it?

The L2CAP fragmentation and recombination is is already enabled in the stack. It is a core L2CAP specification and does not need to be enabled.

Having said that, the purpose of FAR in L2CAP is to break the PDU in fragments that can be fit in an ACL data packet. So from the top application layer, there should not be a need to tweak this at all. Is there a specific use-case that requires you to deal with this feature?

I'm looking into increasing the file transfer speed for our application that works over Bluetooth SPP. I know FAR helps in cutting down on the protocol overhead. I wanted to double check that Bluetopia enabled that feature.

Can you think of any other adjustments that might be possible to increase speed?

I think MTU adjustments in RFCOMM may also help. Is there a way to adjust the RFCOMM MTU?
