CC2564: CC256xQFNEM on Wiki - is this the same as CC2564MODNEM ?

Part Number: CC2564

The CC256x Wiki mentions a code CC256xQFNEM as required hardware. And it has a link that points to a non-existing TI page.

Just to be on the safe side, is that module the same as CC2564MODNEM?

And if so, may I suggest the Wiki link gets amended?

Bruno

  • Hi Bruno,

The CC2564MODN is based on the CC2564B IC (used in the CC256xQFNEM). So from software/firmware and interface perspective, the CC256xQFNEM and the CC2564MODNEM are interchangeable.

Could you please share the url of the page that you referred to in your post? I will make sure this is explained there. Thanks.

    Best regards,

  • Hello Vihang,

The Wiki page I refer to is:
    processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC256x_Tiva_TI_Bluetooth_Stack

    The broken link is: www.ti.com/.../cc256xqfnem

Apparently, all over the TI's site, looking specifically for "CC256xQFNEM" is bringing lots of 404 dead ends, including ZERO results on the "products" tab.

A side note worth mentioning (I frequently say this on the TI's survey's that I receive/fill), is that while I understand the challenges of a search engine on a site the size of TI's, it is far from ideal. Lots of "obvious" searches return nothing. Maybe the search engine should have some sort of "self feeding rate", to intelligently rank the frequent visited pages after a search is done...

    Regards

    Bruno
  • Hi Bruno,

Thanks for the feedback. Although the url for the EM board is correct, it appears that the webpage is down for some reason. I have passed this issue along with your feedback to the appropriate channels and this issue will be fixed soon.

    Best regards,
    Vihang
