CC2541: The 32KHz crystal necessity

Part Number: CC2541
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640

Hi

I am developing a device using 2541 and BLE stack.
My board is using of course the 32MHz Crystal.

In my application I need to implement accurate Real Time Clock.
I am a little confused regarding the necessity of the 32KHz crystal.

As I understand, the 32KHz frequency is used by Timer2 (and the BLE stack) for time keeping.
According to the doc, there is an RC Generator for 32KHz frequency, which is calibrated using the 32MHz crystal, to a stable frequency of 32.753 kHz.

If so, is there any point to put the a 32.768 kHz crystal?
I am asking this because it affects both the BOM and the power consumption.

My application can tolerate up to 0.02% difference in time measurement.

Thanks
