Part Number: CC2640
Hi,
I'm looking at a use case where only two bytes (not including overhead - so IIRC ~7 bytes on top of that) are transmitted back with an interval of 1s.
This works out to 86,400 * 10 bytes = 864,000 bytes per day. The power calculator says that the "TX throughput while connected" should indeed be the average number of bytes transmitted in one day.
The calculator returns 633uA average consumption, which is extremely high for a BLE chipset. Virtually every other chipset uses something closer to 10s of microamps. I'm assuming this is some sort of bug with the calculator. Am I missing something?
I've found the old Excel spreadsheet, which returns something closer to 10 microamps, and sounds a little more accurate given what I'm seeing in the raw datasheet numbers. Which is valid? Am I using the online calculator incorrectly?
Thanks!
