You can download and install BLE Stack v2.2.1 and see lots of examples in it.

According to below table written in "SWRU393_CC2640_BLE_Software_Developer's_Guide.pdf",  The functions of all projects files are verified on CCS ver 6.2. 

Although I tried to compile and execute simple_broadcaster, I could not verify the function on CCS ver 7.1.

This is my current situation. I'm sorry to confuse you.

Do you use TI ARM Compiler v5.2.6 in CCS7.1 to build and test simple_broadcaster?
