CC2640R2F: How to program CC2640R2F

Hi,

I am developing a board using CC2640R2F and I need to pick ways to program it. I know that one option is JTAG programmer, my question is: can I use "CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG (XDS110)" ? or this debugger is adapted to (only) SensorTag?

Also, is there any manual on how to program using ROM serial bootloader?

Hi Reza,

The DevPack-Debug is made especially for the SensorTag. You can however use the XDS110 on the LaunchPads, any standalone XDS110 or XDS200 debuggers or Segger J-Link.

XDS debuggers seem expensive choice for my application. Can we use any microcontroller with JTAG (IEEE 1149.1) and USB2.0 controllers as the debugger?
Off course, the efforts will be doubled.

As I wrote, you can use the XDS110 on the LaunchPads (the CC2640R2 LaunchPad for example) to debug and program your custom board. The LaunchPad is $29.
