CCS/CC2650: Simple Eddystone project import guide

Hi,

When I import the simple eddystone ble sample to the CCS the driver files does not get imported into the project.

I select "C:\ti\simplelink\ble_sdk_2_02_01_18\examples\cc2650lp\simple_eddystone" in "Select serach-directory" and make sure "Copy projects into workspace" is checked. Press "Finish" button and it would import simple_eddystone properly.

Hi,

I ran into another problem.After loading the program to the launchpad 2650 I cannot detect it as an eddystone beacon on eddystone beacon scanner android app and estimote android app. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Do you use TI ARM compiler v5.2.6 in CCS to build simple_eddystone example?

The compiler version is shown as 16.9.2.

Try to refer to my reply in e2e.ti.com/.../1955874 to install TI ARM Compiler v5.2.6 to test again.

Hi,

Ti compiler version 5.2.6 is not available. I used 5.2.9 instead and after loading the code to the launchpad in debug mode the debug is halted indicating a hardware breakpoint. Any ideas how to get around this or where to find compiler 5.2.6? Thank you.

When you go to CCS->Help->Install New Software... , you have to select "Code Generation Tools Updates - ...". and remember to uncheck "Show only the latest versions of available software" to see TI ARM Compiler 5.2.6.

Ble SDK version - 2.2.1.18

Ti Arm Compiler - 5.2.6

Everything was done as you instructed. code gets built and there are no errors. But when it is loaded int the CC2650 LaunchXL in debug mode errors are shown related to hardware break points in the file main.c

errors code are attached below. Please help! Thank you.

after the initial error code is given in debug mode I used "go into" method in debug to get the other error codes shown below. I used simple beacon project as well to test and it gives the same errors related to the main.c file as well.
