Flash/memory mapping on OAD target

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BLE-STACK

Hi,

Is it okay to increase flash size of image_A?

When I increase image_A, OAD target works well as usual,

after I try to update firmware, it shows "Device disconnect" on SensorTag app.

Please help me with this problem, thanks.

  • Hi Wei,

Are you using an CC26xx device or a CC2640R2? Which version of the BLE-Stack are you using?

There are certain memory constraints that you need to follow. They are different for the CC26xx and the CC2640R2. I would recommend that you look over the On-chip OAD section of the TI BLE Software Developer's Guide that came with the SDK you are using.

Why do you need to increase the size of Image A?

  • Hi Rachel,

I'm using CC2640R2 and implement it on version simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_1_30_00_25 sdk.
I've read the OAD guide and it didn't show information about memory increasing/decreasing for image A.
I tried to change the address limitation and it didn't work.
And the reason I'd like to increase the size is because I was trying to make image A as an original version of our program,
    so it must contains UART.

    Thanks for your reply.
