I'm trying to reflash the firmware for the simple link sensor tag.

I get a successful build in CCS and I flashed the file below successfully with SmartRF Flash Programmer 2, but when I remove the devpack, the board is not responding or advertising as it should be if the image was flashed successfully. Is there some type of reset that needs to be done once the board is flashed?

I did not make any modifications to the sensortag_cc2650stk_app

Do you also download BIM into your CC2650STK?

Yes, I followed the instruction here:

processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC2650_SensorTag_User's_Guide

I built and flashed the BIM, then the stack, then the app. I have received success messages on each of the three steps in that order from SmartRF Flash Programmer 2, but the device is not broadcasting. I was successful in flashing project_zero, so I think everything is setup right and I know the board is working

When you build BIM. App, and Stack, do you use TI ARM Compiler v5.2.6 in CCS?

Hi Michael,

Did you check to flash with cc2650stk_sensortag_rel.hex on SmartRF Flash Programmer 2?

The flash fails and I get the follow messages when I try to flash the .hex

I was able to flash the .hex using SmartRF Programmer 2. I had not selected the 'erase' action previously. The rel.hex returns the board to its initial state, but I still can't get the device programmed by flashing the BIM, Stack, & App. I would like to be able to do this because I have a couple boards that I would like to make advertise continuously. This does not look difficult, requires only on parameter change, but I wanted to get the unmodified files to work first. Any recommendations?

I think you have a issue with App.hex when you rebuild it. You can reference with this post

You can download and compare with your bim,app and stack with notepad++. [2.2.1]sensortag_cc2650stk.zip

I removed everything from my workspace, deleted and re-installed the BLE SDK, rebuilt the BIM, Stack, and APP. Still nothing. I have not modified the files in any way after importing them, Im not sure what to do next. Thanks for your help.

Do you compare with my hex? Are they the same?
Do you set TI ARM Compiler v5.2.6 in CCS when you try to rebuild?

I'm not sure how to compare them, but when I flashed your files they worked fine. V.5.2.6 seems to be the default for the app and stack, the BIM does not show it as an option and uses TI.V16.9.1.LTS.

Could you screen shot your build configuration setting? I really appreciate all your help, I feel like I'm really close, but there must be one thing set wrong somewhere
