Hi ,

Urgent question!!!!!!!!!!

We have developed a product using CC2541 ic. Our product is ready for production now.

I want to know how i can protect software/hex file from being copied. As you might have idea that in "SmartRF Flash Programmer" we have option to "Read Flash in hex file". So i am worried that anyone can read hex file if they get to know the part number.

Is there any way to protect the software from being copied? any protection or encryption method in stack itself.

You can lock it by using Flash Programmer.

There's a "Block debug commands (include read access)" checkbox at right botton corner of Flash Programmer. You can check it when you download your hex file and it would block reading Flash.

This is a reliable method right? The other person has to erase the flash in order to unlock the chip ? and is there any way he can read the flash even if we lock the chip from flash programmer.

Yes, it's reliable and anyone cannot read Flash if you lock it.
