Hi,

We need to implement a LIN node on a CC2640. After reading the datasheet of the CC2640 it appears that CC2640 does not embed any dedicated LIN hardware. After reading the Local Interconnect Network Wikipedia page it seems that it is possible to implement LIN with a microcontrollers that has only UART capability.

Is it possible to emulate LIN protocol with a SW library on CC2640 with TI-RTOS ?

Is there any TI-RTOS LIN over UART library furnished by TI or by other third parties on the market ?

Hi Jérôme,

It is possible to run LIN over the UART interface on the CC2640R2.

At this point TI does not offer a SW driver for this, but the Technical Reference Manual (www.ti.com/lit/pdf/swcu117) combined with the existing TI-RTOS UART driver can be used for making your own driver.
