LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: Question About Bluetooth's TX and RX

Hi TI,

I still have a question about BLE's TX and RX. The CC2640R2 manual says the RX current consumption is about 5.9mA, and the TX current consumption is about 6.1mA. Then, when TX and RX run at the same time, how much the total current consumption? Is about 12mA right? Or the current is the higher one, 6.1mA?

Hi,

It is not possible to run TX and RX simultaneously. You can only be in one mode at a time.

And besides, when a peripheral is running, it may receive some command data from a central. Does the peripheral consume RX current(5.9mA) continuously, or does it consume RX current very shortly in a cycle? (It runs at 20Hz)
