CC2640: Central without crystals

Device:CC2640F128RHB 5*5(15GPIO) module.

IDE:ccsv7

Compiler : TI V5.2.6

SDK: ble_sdk_2_02_01_18

Debugger: XDS100v3 olimex

Example: simple_central_cc2650em

Crystal : 48MHZ

I want to use simple_central_cc2650em example in my device.i didn't connected kHz crystal with cc2640.

so Which change i do in this example so that its work properly.

Hi Nitin,

The 24 MHz crystal is required to run the radio, the RF part of the CC2640 will not run without it. For Central devices it is also mandatory to use the 32 kHz crystal.

I used 24 MHz crystal in my custom board.

For Peripherals device 32 kHz crystal is required or not?

Hi Nitin,

For Peripherals you can choose to not use 32 KHz crystal. Note that this increases current consumption slightly. More details here: www.ti.com/.../swra499
