CC2541: PERL API for BLE mode guide

Dear TI Experts:

One of my customer decide to build BLE test environment with PERL API for Mass production. Since there is only limited introduction for BLE mode test. It is a little difficult for them to start. Could you share more info about BLE mode test or BLE mode scripts? Thanks a lot.

Below is current guide I've found, only for proprietary mode.

SmartRF Studio PERL Extension User's Manual:

In the example there is one register setting for the transmitter: dal_registers_cont_tx.pl, and one for the receiver: dal_registers_cont_rx. Note that the settings provided with the Smart RF Studio installation are for CC2541 in proprietary mode.

Hi Bruce,

How about programming the CC2541 with HostTestApp and using HCI commands to start various test modes. We do have an example on how to call some of these commands from the embedded SW, but with HostTestApp you can send the same commands over UART. You can find more details about other HCI commands in the documentation included in the SDK.

Dear Fredrik,
Thanks a lot for your help. Customer have accepted HCI Command solution and I'll change HostTest to UART1--ALT1 for customer's board.
