CC2564: Source and Sink Bluetooth Help

Hi,

I am looking for TI bluetooth solution where the device can receive and transmit audio with headset. As I have come to know there is notion of bluetooth sink and source. I need to bluetooth duplex communication between device and headset for voice conversation and in addition should stream music to headset.

Is CC2564 for my application? If not which bluetooth IC should I choose.

Appreciate any help.

From the controller perspective, HFP and a2dp can be supported at the same. However, only one can be in assisted mode at a time. Which, host processor are you considering to use? Here is the link the CC256x datashseet: www.ti.com/.../cc2564.pdf

hi,

could you confirm that CC2564 can be used to make bluetooth base station for headset as shown in the image? Datasheet does not mention HSF(HandSet Profile).

It's ok if it is in either A2DP or in HFP mode. I am considering PIC32 MCU for interfacing. And for DAC/Amp I am using TI's TPA6138A2PWR.

looking forward for further advices.

HSP is supported with TI Bluetopia stack.. However, PIC is not a supported host for TI bluetopia stack. Please check here for supported hosts : processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC256x_TI's_Bluetooth_Stack

there is CC2564B and CC2564C. as i understand cc2564C is the newer version but the datasheet does not mention audio gateway. so can i use cc3564C for my application?
can i use any MSP432 or MSP430 microcontroller? are there anymore hindrances i should be aware of?
