CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC1350: CC1350 Launchpad Bluetooth won't show up on phone

I'm having some trouble by understanding how to program the CC1350 Launchpad. First of all, i can run and debug the empty_cc1350_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs project on the device and everything seems to work. I can compile and debug the simple_peripheral_cc1350lp_app_FlashROM project, but the device name won't show up on my phone. I have used a Iphone 5 and a Huawei P9 using a BLE-scanner-app on both. Is it possible that i am doing somthing wrong when building the code? when importing the simple_peripheral_cc1350lp_app_FlashROM projec, the simple_peripheral_cc1350lp_stac_FlashROM projec also shows up. I am guessing that it is a split image and i have to gather the two .hex files in to one, but i can't find any documentation on how to do this using the cc1350. In the Project Explorer in CCS there is no documentation about the simple_peripheral_cc1350lp_app_FlashROM projec.

Second question: has the dual mode RF driver been released? discussed in this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/proprietary_sub_1_ghz_simpliciti/f/156/t/525056?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=cc1350 So fare i can see is it not possible to use BLE & Sub-1GHz operation in the same project, which is what I want to do.

Hi Karsten,

For the FlashRom configuration you only have to download the App-project/hex to your device. You must however compile and build the Stack project before doing the same with the App part.

I made it work. What i had to do was to use the SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 and then click on multiple image and download both .hex files to the launchpad. I spend a lot of time figuring that out.

You did not answer my question about the dual mode RF driver. Has it been released?

Hi Karsten,

If you download (debug) directly from CCS you only have to do it for the App project (as long as the Stack project is already built).

I am notifying a colleague regarding the dual mode question.

What is possible in terms of dual mode on CC1350 is:

Run proprietary application together with BLE beacon application.
Boot time switch between full BLE application and proprietary application (which can also supprt BLE beacons)
