Is it possible to capture normal BLE packets in proprietary mode?

    Hi Kapil,

    From my understanding, you can use the RF driver directly to capture BLE packets.

    I am not able to capture normal ble packets using cc2541 running in proprietary mode and only proprietary mode packets from another cc2541.

    This lead to my conclusion that normal ble packets can't be detected in proprietary mode.

    Also, I found a post which claims it is not possible https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/bluetooth_low_energy/f/538/t/401163.

    I might not have been able to capture normal ble packets due to wrong register values. So, if you can provide a reference correct register values for ble packet capturing that would be great.

    If really the proprietary mode can't detect normal ble packets. What is the mechanism behind it and can it be bypassed?
