CC2650: Custom hardware programming

Part Number: CC2650

Hi all.

I am using the SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 to program a custom hardware using a CC1310LauchPad with XDS110. the custom hardware the CC2650 is visible using the  SmartRF Flash Programmer 2, but I am unable to erase or reprogram it. I was able to do it at the first but after a Force Mass Erase I was unable to reprogram again

I tried update the LauchPad firmware and no luck, I am still unable to reprogram the customboard

  • Hi Ela,

Can you read any of the pages from the device?

I doubt this happened, but it's possible you could have locked the JTAG, are you getting any errors during flashing?

    Regards,
    Rebel
  • Hi Rebel,

I cant flash the device again or read the memory. I tried it with 2 different LaunchPad modules with XDS110, I am able to reprogram the LP modules, but not my custom hardware could it be a soldering issue? the weird for me the SRF2 is able to recognize the cc2650 in the custom baord

The error I am getting in SRF2 is the following:

    >Initiate access to target: XDS-L400A0JD.
    >Create XBAL object failed: Target connect failed
    >Failed to create device object.

  • Hi Ela,

Good to hear you're able to program LP - and yes that leads me to believe that your custom board is the issue - make sure the key JTAG pins + power are not broken anywhere.

If it's able to identify - it's possible that some (the rst and power) are functional, but the rest may not be? Perhaps put a logic probe on the jtag and compare it to when the LP is on there.

    Regards,
    Rebel
