CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: Idle Mode Power consumption -- Example Available?

Hello,

We are trying to run the MCU in Idle mode although the power consumption is reading 3.0 mA which corresponds more toward Active mode instead of 550 uA which is listed in the datasheet (p. 16, table 5.4).

Can you point to an example in the SDK or provide some example code to help us confirm this figure.

For help with power measurements, I suggest you review our Measuring Bluetooth low energy Power Consumption app note: www.ti.com/.../swra478c.pdf

This will provide you a lot of useful information and walks you through how to setup the sample application.

Hello Akash,

What is the reason for needing idle vs. standby? We don't have an example for idle since it doesn't provide much benefit over standby. You can call
Power_setConstraint(PowerCC26XX_SB_DISALLOW);
// Power_setConstraint(PowerCC26XX_IDLE_PD_DISALLOW);
to inhibit standby.

I'm trying to get data for a customer. I've thought the EXACT same thing but I definitely want to have an answer for them.
