CC2540: hardware interrupt priority

Hi team,

Is it possible to set a hardware interrupt with a higher priority than the BLE stack? My colleague is interested in low latency interrupts. I found some reference to it here: e2e.ti.com/.../527148 interrupt Bluetooth TI RTOS but the thread doesn't appear to be resolved.

Any data on what the latency for a hardware interrupt could be?

All of the testing is done with the default interrupt priority groups.

You can change the priority groups, but use it at your own risk as with all application created/constructed Hwi objects (e.g. The general rule is that Hwi object execution time should as short as possible to allow for post-interrupt processing). To change priority groups, see http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/SYS/BIOS_for_Stellaris_Devices#Supported_Priority_Values

If you want to use zero-latency interrupts, you must not use any kernel APIs within that interrupt. While very fast, you cannot use APIs such as Semaphore_post(), Event_post(), etc... http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/SYS/BIOS_for_Stellaris_Devices#Zero_Latency_Interrupt_Support

The kernel's release notes has "Benchmarks" link that will answer your hardware latency interrupt question.

also I had a typo, I meant to say the cc2640, but you answered my question anyways.
