RTOS/CC2640: How to check CPU clock?

Hello everyone,

I'm asking a question that's somehow related to my previous question here,

Our project uses a custom board with a 3.7V lithium battery and the run time performance is critical. The board has a 32 kHz and 24MHz crystals (as the photo below). My question is, how do I check if the main core run off 32 kHz clock most of the time (excluding when it's sleeping)?

Hi Henry,

You can find information about what clocks are used when in the Technical Reference Manual - www.ti.com/.../swcu117

You can use the PRCM registers to verify which state the CPU is in and which clocks are being used!

(BTW it's chapter 6!)

Hello Rebel,

Thank you very much for your response! Which register that you're referring to determine CPU state and the clocks that is being used? I've read through the registers description but couldn't find the specific one that I need.

Also, I assume that we can pause the program to check the registers window in CCS or print out the value by using HWREG(PRCM_BASE + offset). How do we test if the system ever go to sleep (and awaken)?
