CC2564MODA: Phone can not find CC2564MODA

Part Number: CC2564MODA
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC256XCQFN-EM, CC2564C, CC2564, CC2564CSTBTBLESW, CC256XSTBTBLESW,

HI,

I'm using C2564MODA with STM32F407, and I designed my own board referred to CC256xCQFN-EM and STM3240G-EVAL.

When I tried to run up the software sample of "A3DPDemo_SNK"(non-os version), I found the stack was up by messages printed from console-uart, but phone(android or iphone) can not find the device. Also by issuing "Inquiry" command from the console from device side, no host (phones) can be found.

Refer to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_Logger_User_Guide, I saved the log message from "TX_DBG" and attached it.

Can somebody help me out?

thanks,

Weslly

  • HI, DFZ,

Yes, I was referring it when i did my experiment. And you see, there are 2 way to connect phone and the device, one is starting from source(phone) side, by scanning from bluetooth settting page. The other is starting from device side, by issuing the command "Inquiry" in the uart-console(i'm using hyperterminal). And both failed for me, so i got log of "TX_DBG" pin by TI's logger tool, could you please help me to check it to see if there is something wrong?(I'll attach it again in the belowing.)

And here is the message from my console:

  • Weslly,

Looks like you are using  the service pack for CC256xC, when from the logs, looks the one you need is CC256xB.

  • HI, DFZ,

Thanks for the point. I'm a little confused, here are some points or questions of mine:
    (1) I'm using CC2654MODA module, does this mean i'm using CC2564B chip, not CC2564C?
    (2) Is CC2564B equal to CC2564? I can not find CC2564B in TI's web site, but only CC2564 and CC2564C.
    (3) Since i'm using F407, should i use CC2564CSTBTBLESW or CC256XSTBTBLESW?
(4)For serivce pack to logger, i'm using cc256xb_bt_sp_v1.6, is this correct?

Could you please clarify it for me?

    thanks.
  • 1) The CC256x service pack is used on the MODA chips (see this page under Technical Documents/TI Devices)

    2) For these purposes yes, you can consider the CC2564B as CC2564.

    3) The software stack you should be using is CC256XSTBTBLESW (look near bottom of page and see CC2564MODA under TI Devices)

    4) Yes, that should be the correct version.

  • Thanks, DFZ. My problem solved after I switched the stack to  CC256XSTBTBLESW .
