CC2564MODA: BLE CC2564MODA as standalone module

Hi,

Need some information about CC2564MODA module. I read the wiki but have some doubts as below.

1. Does CC2564 is HCI module and we need to compile the BLE stack on host controller?

2. If BLE stack is present in the CC2564 module then how to communicate with it? I am interested to communicate using UART.

I want to use it as complete BLE module (stack should be on module). I hope this is possible.

Vishal,

You will need some kind of host controller, such as MSP432. You can use UART to communicate with the stack by setting up a terminal (Tera Term, Putty, etc.).

Please refer to the User's Guide for your particular host controller for more details on getting started.

Hi DFZ,

I do have host controller in my system but my question is do this module has BLE stack or do my host controller need to have TI's BLE stack?

In which state module goes when we powered up? Peripheral or central?

Does this means that this module requires only MSP as host? I do have non MSP host.

Vishal, the host can be any of the devices listed in this page.

And yes, the stack will run on the host device.
