TI BLE Sniffer (CC2540EMK-USB dongle first time setting up on win 10 64bit machine

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540

Hi all I need help regarding setting up the TI BLE Sniffer (CC2540EMK-USB dongle
I have got all the software setup but packet sniffer won't find the BLE device on my usb port. I have checked my device manager and the cc2540 usb dongle is listed there but it's not showing up in the packet sniffier software though to note i haven't installed any device driver.
After installing the packet sniffer software i just plugged in the cc2540 usb dongle and my PC showed notification that it's setup complete for cc2540. Do you have any setup guideline i can follow. my system is-

OS- Win 10 ENT 64 bit
RAM- 16gb
SSD- 500gb
Processor- Intel Core i7 quad-core

  • Hello,

Please see the "TI Packet Sniffer" article on the TI BLE Wiki. Once the packet sniffer firmware is programmed on the CC2540USB dongle the LED will glow steady green. You need to install the driver on the PC for the utility to operate.

If you are still having issues please post a screen shot of your Device Manager showing the CC2540 USB dongle.

    Best wishes
