CC2564C: STM32F4DISCOVERY limitations for audio

Hi,

I can see in the CC2564 documentation the following notation:

"Because of hardware limitations on the STM32F4DISCOVERY board, the audio and voice applications cannot be ported to the STM32F4DISCOVERY board for complete evaluation."

Can anyone summarise what the hardware limitations are? I see in another thread a comment suggesting that the STM32F4DISCOVERY audio DAC is incompatible. Is that all? Anything else?

The reason I ask this is because I want to attempt to get the CC2564MODAEM working with a STM32L476xxx MCU. I have both the NUCLEO-L476RG and 32L476DISCOVERY boards on hand for evaluation. I want to run the A2DP profile (not A3DP) so, in this configuration, I should not have any compatibility problems between CC2564 and audio DAC, yes?

Any pointers or comments would be welcome.

To clarify, the hardware is not fully incompatible, just incompatible with the out of box sample applications. You are free to port it as you like for your application. A heads up, you might run into some issues noise, jitter, or clicking due to the different hardware configuration. If you run into any issues you can find third party support here.
