CC2640R2F: BT 5 direct test mode (DTM) for longrange S2 and S8

Hi, we use Low energy CC2640R2F wireless with MCU LaunchPad & Boostxl-Rs232.

I flashed the chip with the cc2640R2LP_host_test.hex file to run the device in direct testmode (DTM) which works fine for 1Ms/s and 2Ms/s.

Unfortunately the longrange (S2 & S8 coding) seems not to be running.

Do you run lonramge_central and longrange_peripheral at github.com/.../ble5apps ?

but I have to run the device in Direct testmode, not in "standard mode". The testmode has to support the longrange

Hi,

As of CC2640R2 SDK 1.40, the BT5 Long Range mode (LE Coded PHY) is for evaluation only, so you must enable it in the ble5stack build_config.opt file, then rebuild the host test firmware.

Hi isn´t there a hex file to flash which I can use where LE Coded PHY is enabled for DTM ?

No. However, you can import the Host Test project into a CCS Cloud(tm) workspace, modify the build_config.opt in the Stack project, then build Stack and App. You can then program your CC2640R2 LaunchPad with this firmware.
