My customer is having the A3DP sink clock dropping issue.

Please see the issue movie in the below.

May I know what's the possible root cause of this?

Rio,

A few questions.

1) Could you please send over firmware logs of this issue on the customer board?

2) What are the hardware/system differences between the board in question and the A3DPSNK reference design? Any modifications made to I2S or PCM or audio codec?

3) What is the implication of this clock dropping? What are the consequences of this that you can see in the customer's system?

Hi Dale:

#1. Regarding the FW log, please wait me to get.

Meanwhile, this issue can be observed from the TI A3DP SINK board.

How to reproduce?

Modify this value on the A3DPDemo_SNK.c, value PCMFreq=3840; ==> 3087, issue will come.

#2. If the clock dropping, the music will have a little discontinue.

Any idea?

BTW, all the console log , waveform compared to the TI board vs Customer board is in the attached.

Rio,

The PCM frequency is calculated to be 80 * sampling frequency, any lower and there is the possibility of not having enough time to get all the data through, thus the clock dropping and music discontinuations you're seeing.

Hi Dale:

If the customer is using I2S signal, how is the right parameter set the PCM codec reg for CC2564B?

BTW, the customer is using TI DAC, Please see the page 25 of the TI PCM5100.
