Hi,

My hardware has a CC2564MODN module with a STM32F4x to communicate large quantity of data with iOS and Android phone. Here, classic BT seems to be preferable to BLE. I don't want to use a MFi so SPP profile can't be used. I think that HID can do the job. Is it possible without problem with apple ? Is it a good choice ?

Can you give me the throughput achieved between a CC2564 and another device (Android and iPhone) ?

Damien,

It would not be possible to do over the air firmware updates with HID. If you are trying to avoid MFi certification, your best bet would be to use BLE. However, this would be slower than if you were to use SPP with BT classic.

That confirm that HID is a bad choice for my application and I should use SPP in classical BT instead. I'm waiting for validation for the MFi, there is someting like SPP (maybe iSPP) available with the MFi ?

Yes, once you get the MFi license iSPP should be sufficient for your needs.
