CC2650STK: iBeacon implementation

Part Number: CC2650STK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650

Hi TI support team,

We are currently trying to use iBeacon technology implemented in TI CC2650 Sensor Tag. By referring to the CC2650 product page ( http://www.ti.com/tool/cc2650stk#supportandcommunity ),

we assume that iBeaconing feature is already Implemented in SensorTag. But when we checked the source code ( ble_sdk_2_02_01_18 ), we could not see UUID and other details updated for supporting iBeaconing and it is seen that iBeaconing is not enabled in the code ( in the file simple_broadcaste.c and  simple_broadcaste.h).

Also we found a related post in the forum ( below given ) which says iBeacon implementation needs an Apple License.

Is the License mandatory for commercial use only or is it required even for Proof-of-concept related works?.

Our work is now only in the PoC stage.

For PoC, can we edit the iBeacon files like what is described in the pdf in the below link ( section 4.2 ) and go ahead with iBeacon testing?
