Hello All,

I'm using ble5_simple_peripheral_cc2640r2lp_app example project, i want to use few more GPIO's in my application can you please guide how to add. I tried but not working.

Can you please let me know how to add one more switch to other GPIO, like configuration.

You can refer to "hKeyPins = PIN_open(&keyPins, keyPinsCfg);" in Board_initKeys for GPI.

Thanks YK Chen,

I have another question to you, in production which is the easy way of programming the device.
1. Do we require JTAG or XDS100 or XDS110.
2. Can we do using serial, any tool to load program.
3. Suggest us for how we can handle easily factory setup case like 1st time programming. In hardware which is the best way, need to take JTAG lines from chip(cc2640R2).?

1. You have to use XDS110 or XDS100v3 to program the chip.
2. Yes, you can program the chip through serial boot loader which you can refer to www.ti.com/.../swra466a.pdf but I don't recommend it for production.
3. I am not clear about your question. Can you elaborate?

3. I mean in production, how to load the program we need to share the source project to load the program or can we share only the out/bin file.

Can you please guide me how we can handle in production:

3.1 Where is the out/bin/hex file in the project.

3.2 Any tool we have to load the out/hex/bin file to our custom design board in production.

3.3 What is actually required for production team, sorry this is 1st time I am handling all these can you please guide me.

You can generate hex file in CCS and use is for production. You can enable ARM Hex Utility from CCS->Project->Properties->ARM Hex Utility to output hex file. Using simple_peripheral example in ble5stack as example, you can find ble5_simple_peripheral_cc2640r2lp_app.hex under workspace_v7\ble5_simple_peripheral_cc2640r2lp_app\FlashROM_StackLibrary folder.

I generated hex file, but for production team I will share the hex file, to load do they need to use CCS or how they will load?

You can use Flash Programmer 2 to download hex file to CC2640R2.

Hello YK Chen,

I have another question to you, do I need to generate two hex file one for application & other for stack?

If we loading two hex file means, what should be the flash address for each?

You will only get one hex file when you generate hex file using CC2640R2 SDK. When you load hex file, you don't have to specify Flash address when downloading it with Flash Programmer 2.
