CC2540: btool usage

Part Number: CC2540

I've flashed HostTestApp into CC2540 which is on my custom board, and by using serial port i connected this device to my pc.

But when i try to use BTool, i have this error message :

" [3] : <Warning> - 11:52:28.599
GAP Device Initialization Timeout.
Device May Not Function Properly. "

Why ?

What is the default config for UART communication ? 57600 / 115200 bauds? RTS/CTS or no Handshake ?

Do you mean you use prebuilt hex image? If so, can you specify which one you download to your CC2540?

I used rs232RG serial port. Tx-Rx
Rx-Tx
CTS-RTS
RTS-CTS
GND-GND

Can you take a picture to show me your connection and specify which CC2540 pins you use as TX/RX?

P0_3=RX

P0_4=RTS

P0_5=CTS

Try to reverse your TX/RX connection and don't connect RTS/CTS to test again.

I suggest you to try to build HostTest by yourself and do UART output in init function to see if you can see output on P0_2 first.
