CC256XB-BT-SP: RFCOMM Ports open very slow

We develope an USB Stick to connect some Bluetooth devices.

I connect the devices over SPP_Open_Remote_Port.

The Problem is, the open process needs from 350 milliseconds until 5000 milliseconds to works.

We have not Problems with 350 milliseconds but with 5000 !

I dont understand, why is the open delay so different.

It looks like, the time goes up, when we have opend an other SPP-Port before.

I use the last stack:

We use an LM4F232 to connect the CC256XB.

I start developement with SPP-Demo.

We don't use security.

Cas I Switch off all security Parameter to make it faster?

Try to change the device for other, because it can be a problem.

When a profile (i.e. SPP) level connection is established between two Bluetooth devices, there is a well defined (in Bluetooth specifications) connection process at various protocol levels. It is part of Bluetooth protocol. According to the Bluetooth specification, the link manager level connection alone can take up to 5.12 msec. So the time you are seeing is within expected range. Please note that it is not simply a matter of setting any security parameters.

Dear Vihang

But some times (too many times) we cannot open the SPP-Port.

It Comes back with Error 1 from etPort_Open_Confirmation after 5 or more Seconds.

(SPP_Event_Data->Event_Data.SPP_Open_Port_Confirmation_Data->PortOpenStatus == 1)

What is the reason in this case?
