CCS/CC2640: how to add service to BLE sdk code

i tried adding a new service to the simple ble peripheral example given in BLE SDK for CC2640/CC2650. It is showing me the error that it is a virtual folder and I can't add service to a virtual folder what is the correct way to add service to it.

Please look into this.

Hi Smriti,

You can just add the service to the main project folder, it's not important where it is located. Or you can make a new (real, not virtual) folder and put it there.

Hi YK Chen,

Thanks but i know how to create and add service. When I tried adding service to profile folder of cc2650em Simple Peripheral Example. it showed me error that your file can't be added as it is a virtual folder. that was my exact doubt.

When you import example, do you check "Copy Project Into Workspace"?
