CC2640R2F: active to standby power mode

Part Number: CC2640R2F

I have an Ti CC2640R2F running as simple peripheral device. It advertises in broadcast mode(non-connectable) for 1 sec (TGAP_LIM_ADV_TIMEOUT is set to 1) where the sensor controller alerts the main CPU every 5 second with an ADC value to broadcast.

My questions are

1. when the advertisement is enabled, what is the power mode is the device in during that time? and how much power does it consume (is it about 1uA) when it is not sending the data?

2. after the main CPU is alerted and finishes processAlert() functional call,  how should I force the CPU back to sleep/standby from Active? or is it handled by the stack?

  • 1. When device is doing advertising, it's under active mode and would consume mA current level. When it is not sending data, it would go to standby mode and it should consume about 1-2 uA.
    2. This is handle by the stack.
