CC2540EMK-USB: CC2540EMK-USB cannot install driver under win10(64bit)

Hello!

I used CC2540EMK-USB under win10 and found that I couldn't install the usb driver.

There's only one unknown device, name is CC2540 USB Dongle.

In the "C:\...\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Drivers\cabal\", I only found the "win_32bit_x86" folder.

How can I use CC2540EMK-USB under win10(64bit)?

Software version is Setup_SmartRF_Packet_Sniffer_2.18.1.exe.

    Hello:

    I get the same problem and solve it finally.

    This reason is that the driver for the USB dongle is not installed correctly. The driver is installed automatically during the installation of Setup_SmartRF_Packet_Sniffer_2.18.1.exe. But i guess the .exe detect your computer as win10(32bit), and installed the wrong driver. So you should install the driver for 64 bit.

    You can solve this problem use the .RAR bellow follow these steps:

    1. Decompress the .rar to "C:\...\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Drivers\cabal\". (This is the driver for win10(64bit), you can also get these files from other 64 bit computer with correct CC2540 USB dongle driver)

    2. Find "CC2540 USB dongle" in "Device Manager" of your comp[uter

    3. Right click then select "Update driver"

    4. Find the driver in the folder  "C:\...\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Drivers\cabal\win_64bit_x64\" and update. Then you can use this USB dongle. Good luck!
